About the Role:
Family Pride Private Home Care is looking for a skilled and dependable Handyman to join our growing team in RI & MA! In this role, you'll play a vital part in maintaining safe, comfortable, and well-functioning homes for the clients we serve. Responsibilities:
- Perform general home repairs and maintenance tasks at client residences
- Assess and troubleshoot household issues including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Complete minor drywall, painting, and flooring repairs as needed
- Install, repair, or replace fixtures, appliances, and hardware
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and is completed in a timely manner
- Communicate clearly with agency staff and clients regarding job status and needs
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a general maintenance/repair role
- Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly or vulnerable clients
- Background check required
- Compassionate, professional, and respectful demeanor
